During the year 2002-03 the company has processed 75248 MTs of Ricebran The company has achieved a turnover of Rs.6251 lakhs and retained profit of 88.02 lakhs During the current year 2003-04 up to December 2004 as per provisional figures the company has processed 7,500 M.Ts of Soya seed and about 50,600 M.Ts of Rice bran and achieved a turnover of Rs. 5232 Lakhs. The company is having a 250 TPD Solvent Extraction Plant, a 30 TPD Vegetable Oil Refinery, 20 TPD Hydrogenation Plant, 4MW per hour Biomass based Power Plant in its composite industrial complex. |

| GENERAL OBSERVATION |

Vijay Agro Products Private Limited is a successful profit making company from the beginning. The company has facilities to manufacture Oils at Vijayawada , the capacity of which is expanded to 89400 M.T per annum. The company is having the infrastructure to use the full licensed capacity. This Company has provided direct employment for 150 personnel, and spending Rs. 4,00,000 per month. This company is also giving employment to 200 persons in the name of Mutha workers. There are about 100 members as other workers. On the whole, this company is providing direct employment to about 400 people directly and to thousands of others like transport operators, commission agents, packing material suppliers, raw material suppliers indirectly. Solvent extraction plants are mainly situated in the places where mostly various cash crops are grown and fertile land is cultivated. It is for that reason in Andhra Pradesh there is approximately 66 solvent extraction units.
In Andhra Pradesh daily production capacity of Solvent Extraction Units is about 11,685 Million tones. The Annual Production is 35,500 Million tones of overall oilseeds/oilcake Processing capacities. The production of Bran oil is 7895 Million tones daily in A.P and Annual production(300 days) is 23,68,500 Million Tons. In India there are total 471 units and daily production capacity of 96,955 million tones and annual processing of 2,90,86500 M.T. Even non- edible vegetable oils from traditional varieties are now being supplemented by oils extracted from practically every type of seed. This situation has resulted in an upsurge in the number of solvent extraction units all over the country mostly in the small-scale sector. Most edible oils and fats are soluble in liquid hydrocarbons, and hexane is the most commonly used hydrocarbon fraction for solvent extraction. The solvent used in this process is not expended, but is used over and over again by the process of recycling and a large volume of solvent always remains in the various stages of the closed plant cycle. This solvent is highly flammable, even explosive and the mere avoidance of external sparks, open flames, etc, does not afford adequate safety, as the process of transferring solvent from one vessel to another or solvent flow in pipe can generate static electricity. Depending on the weather conditions, the static charge could easily attain the conditions necessary to ignite the solvent vapour in the vicinity. Hence adequate measures will be taken for procuring, storage and utilization of the solvent by name Hexane at all stages. Solvent extraction of vegetable oils has developed from the batch method to the modern day continuous process, and increased safety features are being incorporated at the design stage.
Refined oils wholesome the human body. Fats free diet is the best, for fatty dishes bring many diseases. If we regularly use the unrefined oils, our body may absorb the fats and it may be the beginning stage for all the diseases. VIJAY AGRO PRODUCTS LIMITED is indirectly saving the human by producing the Refined Oils from the vegetable seeds. These oils are free from fats. In the beginning of the production process, the Crude Oil, will have all the above qualities. In the continuous and various processing methods, experts of the company are making the oils as Refined Oils or Fat Free Oils. The company is serving the people by supplying quality vegetable oils, since 17 years successfully.
The VAPL basically deals in Extraction of Oils by solvent method Hydrogenation of Commercial Oils Refining of Vegetable Oil, comprising of Rice Bran Oils (commercial and edible grade), Hardened Ricebran and all types of oils, soya & all kinds of Oils and Extractions and Refining of all types of Vegetable Oils. Refining of Vegetables is the thrust product for the company accounting for 60% of the turnover. The company has achieved recognition for its quality products and command premium for the price. The major customers of the company for Ricebran Oils including Hydrogenated Ricebran Oils are multinationals like Hindustan Lever, Godrej, colgate Palmolive, Nirma, Vasista Detergents and JOCIL etc., and as such there is no problem in marketing of the same. The company is marketing the refined oils through established brokers in the local area and has not foreseen any problem in the marketing. |

| OBJECTIVES OF ORGANISATION |

The main financial objective of VIJAY AGRO PRODUCTS LIMITED., is to earn fair returns on capital employed by achieving optimum utilisation of capacities installed executing projects within specified time and earning sufficient profits in order to generate adequate internal resources. All the above add to increase the wealth of the owners. The percentage of return on capital employed in VAPRO is increasing year by year as it is a profit making company.

The unit was established in the year 1983 as a Private Limited Company and commercial Production started in 1984 with an initial installed capacity of 150 Tons per day of Solvent Extraction. The company later on scaled up production stations by adding new manufacturing facilities from time to time.
